Supreme Court Minister André Mendonça must release access to investigations on friars in the INSS to the parliamentary committee investigating the case in Congress. The information was released on Wednesday, 27, by the president and rapporteur of the INSS CPI, Senator Carlos Viana (Somos-MG) and Deputy Alfredo Gaspar (Union-AL).
According to parliamentarians, the CPI may receive from the STF investigations of those who are not confidential and that are not yet under investigation by the Federal Police.
The idea, according to Viana, is to make public all this information received from the STF within two months. Both were meeting with Mendonça at the Supreme Court on Wednesday, 27.

“The minister put very quietly that the Supreme Court will be able to collaborate in those not confidential documents,” said Viana. “It is under his responsibility a technical investigation, and in what is possible, there will be sharing.”
This Monday, 25, Minister Dias Toffoli lost control of the investigation into INSS fraud in the STF. Mendonça became the guardian.
Last week, the Attorney General of the Republic, Paulo Gonet, asked the case to leave the hands of Minister Dias Toffoli and there was a redistribution. The Supreme Court President, Ministeruis Roberto Barroso, accepted the request and, after draw, the process was redistributed to Minister Mendonça, who was nominated by former President Jair Bolsonaro (PL).

The president of the CPI also announced that he intends to make surroundings between former social security ministers and directors and presidents of the associations who had access to the folder while the fraud was underway if he detected different versions of those involved.
First, according to the plan, the former ministers will be heard, and then the directors and presidents of the associations. “If information we receive from the ministers are not in accordance with what the directors of the unions and associations put it, we will have to do it to know who would eventually lie, and where they omitted information to CPMI,” said Viana.
At the inaugural session of the INSS CPI, the commission approved the invitation of all those who occupied the Ministry of Social Security between 2015 and 2025 and the convening of ten presidents of the INSS and directors of associations cited in the investigations.

The INSS CPI should be one of the main problems for the government of President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva in this second semester.
