During the event, the politician talked to the report of the ContilNet And he said he will be a candidate for deputy in the 2026 elections. Marcus has not yet defined whether he will run for a place in the Acre Legislative Assembly (Aleac) or the Federal Chamber, but should decide by the end of the year.

“At first, my decision is to be a candidate for deputy, whether state or federal. It is a decision that I will make until the end of the year. But I am a party soldier, I am available; my name is available to MDB in these conversations that will be made from now, aiming at the elections next year,” he said.

“The most important thing is that we are all united to work for our people. We have to be prepared to offer the best for the population, because election is hope. It is hope for better health, better infrastructure, we have increasing economic development, job generation and income. This is the main debate. It is what we can do for the population of our state. And I am available for it,” he added.

Marcus was also asked about the possibility of MDB supporting one of the government candidates, such as deputy governor Mailza Assis and Senator Alan Rick.

“Look, I think the MDB, from now on, will be open to dialogue with the political forces and the pre-candidatures that are placed. Both the Senator, and the deputy governor Maílza, candidate appointed by the government. I think MDB has to listen to everyone to make their decision, but also have to hear our directories in the municipalities. The MDB has causes, which are working for the Brazilian people, working for the people of Acre, defending democracy. Then, the dialogue is open, yes, with all the political currents.

“We have to have a government plan that is in accordance with the wishes of the population, what I will talk again. The most important thing is what we are proposing to do for the people. Election is the hope that things will improve, that we will face new challenges, that we will make great investments, works, and generate jobs and income. So, besides talking to these political forces, we have to know what they think for our projects State, ”he said.
