Russia’s attacks on Ukrainian Kiev have triggered criticism of several world leaders. The Italian Prime Minister criticized Russia’s attitude to peace negotiations.
The latest Russian forces attacks on Kiev show that Moscow is not interested in negotiating the war in Ukraine. This was announced on Thursday by Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, TASR reports on the basis of Ansa report.
“Intense attacks on Kiev show who stands on the peace side and who does not intend to go the way of negotiations,” Meloni wrote on the social network X.
She stressed that Italy stands in Ukraine in her fight against Russia’s aggression.
“We think of the Ukrainian people, civilians and the family of innocent victims, including children who have been victims of nonsensical Russian attacks,” she added.
The attack was condemned by several leaders
At night drone and rocket strikes on Kiev, at least 21 people killed and dozens of others have suffered injuries, the BBC said. The European Union missions in Ukraine and the British Council were also affected.
The attacks were also condemned by other European leaders, including Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez, Presidents of Lithuania and Latvian Gitanas Naused and Edgars Rinksvich, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, French President Emman The head of the Union diplomacy Kaja Kallas summoned the Russian Ambassador to Brussels.
