From the health agency to the Nuclear Energy Inspection Commission, Donald Trump has been performing a real purge in the United States civil service. The focus is Trump’s political and ideological disaffected.
Last Wednesday (27), the White House resigned Susan Monares, director of the Center for Control and Prevention of Diseases of the Department of Health. She resisted pressures to alter vaccination policy and disseminate a study linking-falsely-the immunizers to autism.
Susan accused the implementing imposed guidelines of “anticientific”. Following the dismissal announcement, other top members of the department resigned – leaving the center without leadership.
At a press conference, the White House spokesman said Susan “was not aligned with the mission of making America ‘healthy again’.” The government says it already has a replacement for the position and that it will be presented “very soon, whether by the president the secretary.”
“Look, what I will say about this person is that the statement of their lawyers made it very clear that they were not aligned with the president’s mission to make America healthy again. A new replacement will be announced very soon, whether by the president or the secretary.”
. According to the White House, the decision has legal value and is based on alleged mortgage fraud committed by Lisa.
And what numbers about the American economy are being manipulated.
It was with this justification that Data Chief of the Department of Labor, Erika McNTEFER, was removed from the function, right after negative numbers about formal employment surface.
Trump also determined layoffs on the Nuclear Regulatory Committee, responsible for overseeing the energy of radioactive materials. According to the Financial Times, since the republican’s inauguration, 200 people left the commission.
This was not the first executive order against regulatory agencies. In February, Trump signed a decree leaving the White House closer to the daily committees. Municipal leaders were instructed to “consult and coordinate policies regularly” and government officials began to supervise the agencies more closely.
