After announcing his withdrawal from Grêmio’s presidential race last Wednesday (27), businessman Marcelo Marques turned back and confirmed, on Friday (29), that he will remain in the club’s electoral process.
The decision was released through a video published on his social networks – in which he thanks the support of the fans and apologizes for the indecision, highlighting the affection received as motivation to continue.

In the content, Marques expresses gratitude to the tricolor and reaffirms his support to the club.
– This demonstration of affection moved me too much, showed me that I am not alone. I mean that you are not alone either. I am with you for whatever comes and comes. I love you! Dale, Grêmio! – declared. He still apologized for the “fright” he caused;
On Thursday (28), Marques even met with Antonio Dutra Júnior in Gravataí, with the objective of discussing his participation both as a candidate for the presidency and as a member of the plate to the Deliberative Council.
For now, Marcelo has not made it clear whether to formally resume the presidential candidacy – but assured that he is part of the plates that will run for chairs in the Deliberative Council.
