Two men suspected of breaking into the house where grandparents and mother of the senator (-RJ) live in Resende (RJ) were arrested on Friday (29), according to the Civil Police. The crime and is treated as qualified theft. The arrests occurred in the Paradise neighborhood of Resende.
The information was released on Saturday (30) by the police. The names of the suspects were not informed to the press.
Police suspect that, in addition to the two prisoners, three others are involved in the crime. Investigations are still in progress.
According to investigators, through security cameras images it was possible to identify the characteristics of the vehicles used by the suspects.
“The monitoring and monitoring of vehicles was carried out, and it was possible to affirm the participation in the action of at least five bandits,” police said in a statement.
“Diligences also occurred in the state of São Paulo, in order to verify the route taken by the criminals after the theft. From this, it was possible to define that the perpetrators used on the day of the crime stolen plates, which were later rendered unusable and replaced by original plates,” he continues.
One of the vehicles used in the action was seized on Friday. Also seized a revolver, ammunition, pistol simulacrum, ninja and cell phones.
Police also said that goods stolen from the victims were recovered.
