Association of young entrepreneurs will select startups for Web Summit

The National Association of Young Entrepreneurs will select 24 Algarve Startups for the Lisbon Web Summit, in a contest with open applications until September 5, announced Friday.

The selection will be made under a contest integrated in the Algarve project entrepreneurs 2026 and the goal is to find “innovative companies to represent the region in the largest technological event in Europe,” he said, referring to the technology summit that will be held from 10 to 13 November, in Lisbon.

“Under the Algarve Project undertakes 2026 – Promotion of qualified entrepreneurship in the Algarve region, the contest is open that will select 24 Algarve Startups to represent the regional ecosystem in one of the most impactful technology and innovation conferences in the world,” said the Business Association.

The same source considered that the contest will “take companies out of their comfort zone” and “challenge them to grow”, promoting the development of technological startups, the reinforcement of digital skills and the diversification of the Algarve economy.
