State Representative (), 84, was discharged on Friday (29) at Niterói D’Or Hospital, where during the first day of the Basic Incomes Earth Network), a global event on Universal Basic Income in Maricá and Niterói, Rio de Janeiro.
According to a bulletin released by the medical team, Suplicy is “lucid, oriented, stable and feeding normally” and will continue with postoperative care at home, accompanied by his cardiologist.
The parliamentarian was diagnosed with cardiac arrhythmia and received implementation of pacemaker on Wednesday (27). After the procedure, the hospital reported late in the night that “the procedure was successfully performed, without complications.”
During the conference, the deputy participated in person in the discussion table on Monday (25) and accompanied online the program of Tuesday (26), at the hospital. The event was attended by Minister Wellington Dias (Development and Social Assistance) and the mayor of Niterói, Rodrigo Neves (PDT).
In September 2023, Suplicy was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, a condition that is still monitored by his medical team.
