“Under the current conditions, it is not possible for the mass evacuation of the city of Gaza to be carried out in a safe and dignified way,” said the festival in a statement.

“These conditions cannot be met in Gaza at present,” she added. At the same time, it has repeatedly called for an immediate ceasefire and stated that “any further escalation of the conflict will only lead to further deaths, destruction and displacement”.
