Mayor of Sorocaba says the candidacy depends on Tarcisio’s decision on presidential race

The mayor of Sorocaba, (Republicans-SP), stated that he can run for the government of São Paulo in 2026, if the governor (Republicans-SP) decides to run for the Presidency of the Republic.

In an interview with Poder360, The mayor known for his videos at Tiktok stated that the decision on which position competes will depend on the 2026 electoral scenario. If Tarcisio attempts reelection, Manga considers a place to the Senate. If the governor chooses to race to the Planalto, the mayor of Sorocaba analyzes the possibility of running for the state government.

Manga said: “If it is God’s will, it is not impossible for anyone who was once a councilman, then became mayor, being able to become governor and that if he is God’s will, even president.”

The mayor’s speech was before the president of Republicans (SP), the governor of São Paulo to the presidency.
