The author Luis Fernando Verissimo, known in national literature for his chronicles and tales of daily life, died on Saturday (30), at 88 years.
Born in 1936 in Porto Alegre, the author is the son of the famous writer Erico Verissimo (“Time and the Wind”), and since he was a young man already had skill with writing.
Throughout his career, he has become one of the most popular names in contemporary literature. To this day, the writer is one of the main representatives of Brazil’s humorous chronicle, being cited mainly by the works “Ed Mort and other stories” (1979) and “Comedies of Private Life” (1995).
One of its main characteristics is the naturalness in portraying political and social issues in their works, always maintaining the ironic tone and bringing mood touches to somewhat complicated situations.
With a wide career and books of various topics, Verissimo brought social criticism mixed with the easy -to -understand language to make his books easily accessible.
