Brazil seeks recovery after 2nd place in VNL
A Volleyball is classified for the round of 16 and aims to break a historic taboo. Despite being one of the biggest powers of the sport, the team has never won the championship, a feat that is also sought by teams such as Poland, Peru, Romania and South Korea.
Even though it has never reached the highest place on the podium, Brazil reached the final on four occasions: in 1994, when it lost to Cuba; in 2006 and 2010, with defeats for Russia; and in 2022, in the final against Serbia.
With good performance in the League of Nations, being defeated only by Italians in the final, and the perfect campaign in the group stage of the World Cup (three wins in three games), the team is among the favorites and is looking for their first title.
