Current development in Ukraine and the Middle East, Access to frozen Russian assets as well as streamlining working methods in the field of EU foreign policy was the topics of informal Meeting of Foreign Ministers of the Member States of the Union in Copenhagen. The head of Slovak diplomacy took part in the meeting known as Gymnich Juraj Blanár. When discussing Ukraine Ministers appreciated the engagement of US President Donald Trump’s administration in efforts to achieve peacein which it is important to continue. “In addition to the fact that peace in Ukraine must be in accordance with international law, especially with the key principles of the Charter of the United Nations and the Helsinki Final Act, Slovakia rejects any border change by force – It is a fundamental principle that the international community must adhere to, ”said Minister Blanár.
According to him, what will be achieved by the peace agreement will depend on the ongoing negotiations between Ukraine and Russia with the support of the United States. “The important thing is that we have a diplomatic process that was the only one to be able to start President Donald Trump.
