After the government controversies on breastfeeding, related to proposals that are included in the draft reform of labor legislation, the social-democratic youth (JSD) presents a package of Support measures to family and birth.
Young social democrats propose to the government the increased six -month parental license, paid 100%, and can be divided between the two parents.
Speaking to Radio Renascença, JSD leader João Pedro Louro said these measures of the “Portugal that is born” package are a response to one of the country’s challenges, which is ensure that “having children is no longer synonymous with sacrifice and becomes a choice supported and valued by the state”.
