Clayton Gomes suffered several fractures by the body after being hit by a wheel that detached from a moving car at the door of a beverage distributor in the Santo Hilário sector in Goiânia on the night of August 1st. Security cameras recorded the moment of the accident.

According to reports, Clayton was using crutches due to a previous accident when he was hit. Shortly after the impact, he lost consciousness for about five minutes. “We heard the noise of the car coming. He looked down. I didn’t see anything anymore. I fainted, I was about 5 minutes unconscious there. The blow was very strong,” Clayton told TV Anhanguera.
Rescued by the Fire Department, he was taken to the Goiânia Emergency Hospital (Hugo), where multiple fractures were found, including liver injury, rib proximity and three cracked in the basin bone. Clayton spent eight days hospitalized and currently recovered at home.
In a video made after the accident, the man comments with friends that this was the fifth time he had a serious accident. “It’s the fifth,” he said smiling, holding his daughter on his lap.
Safety images show Clayton sitting at the table, talking to other people when the wheel releases from the car that passed down the street and hits it. The vehicle followed the track, releasing sparks in the area where the tire was.
The driver of the car reported that the tip of the rear wheel axle broke, causing the wheel to detach unexpectedly. He provided help to the victim and accompanied her to the hospital. The information and images are from G1 Goiás.
