A rare episode marked the 2nd league duel between Benfica B and Portimonense at Benfica Campus. The Algarve team, which won 1-0 at the break, saw the two goalkeeper expelled in the first half.
At 44 minutes, Sebastien Cibois foul on Ivan Lima, who was heading isolated to the goal, and was ordered to expulsion. Douglas Friedrich entered the place, but only 55 seconds later was also sent off after leaving the area and punching the ball. Without further alternatives, Jarleysom, central defense, took the position of goalkeeper.
Despite a goal of a draw on 70 minutes, the team quickly returned to the head of the marker the next minute. Portimonense eventually won 2-1, with Jarleysom standing out with several important defenses, showing courage and surprising adaptation.
@Ligaportugal The unlikely hero Jarleysom, the central defense of the Portimonense, had to take over the goal and as incredible as it seems 😅 𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗺 𝗱𝗼 𝗷𝗼𝗴𝗼 🔥 🔥 #ligaportugal #tiktokdesport #footbaltiktok #ligaportugalmeusuper #portimonense ♬ original sound – Liga Portugal
