Classic potato pancakes This is one of my favorite childhood delicacies. Now I am happy to make them in a different version – with juicy chicken, cheese and vegetables can be a full -fledged dinner with an unusual depth of taste. Since I tried once, I have been doing them regularly.
Pies:
- 500 g of potatoes,
- 1 egg,
- 1 small onion,
- 1 Czuby spoon of wheat flour,
- salt to taste,
- Frying oil.
Chicken:
- 300 g of chicken fillets,
- 1 teaspoon of rapeseed oil,
- 1 teaspoon of buckwheat honey,
- ¼ cup of red currants (fresh or frozen),
- 1 clove of garlic,
- ¼ cup of water.
Additions:
- small natural yogurt,
- 4-5 slices of cheese,
- 2 tomatoes,
- 3 pickled cucumbers.
Start by preparing the meat. Wash the chicken breast, dry, cut lengthwise into thinner fillets and gently break it with a pestle. Season with salt and pepper.
Heat a teaspoon of oil in a frying pan and fry the chicken for 2-3 minutes on each side. Add squeezed garlic, honey and currants. Pour a quarter of water and simmer for a few minutes until a slightly thick, dark sauce is formed, which will stick to the meat. Set aside
Prepare add -ons. Cut the tomatoes into slices and drain the pickled cucumbers and chop them into half slices. Peel the potatoes and grate them on a fine mesh with onions. Clean the excess of potato mass juice. Add egg, flour and a pinch of salt. Mix thoroughly. Fry small pancakes on both sides in a well -heated oil until golden brown. Make sure that there is an even number. Drain them on a paper towel.
Place one potato cake on a plate, apply a tablespoon of natural yogurt. Put tomatoes, prepared chicken, cheese and cucumbers. Cover with a second portion of potato pancakes.
