United States Presidency Counselor Peter Navarro defended the imposition of tariffs by Donald Trump and said they “qualify the regulation of imports.” According to him, if the government loses the case of legality of tariffs in the Supreme Court “President Trump will be right and will be the end of the US.”
On Friday, a Federal Court of Appeals ruled 7-4 that Trump’s tariffs were illegal, and that he had no authority to impose most of the applied rates on foreign products from around the world.
In an interview with Fox NewsNavarro remembered that neither Trump said the tariffs were permanent. If China, Mexico and Canada act to reduce the deaths of Americans caused by the use of fentanil, there may be negotiation for the removal of tariffs.
