The INSS CPI will hear, on Monday, lawyer Eli Cohen, responsible for the first complaints about fraud in the organ. With his testimony, parliamentarians expect to have a detail about the origin of documents and evidence gathered, and understand how private companies may have participated in the fraud at the institute. Later this week, the CPI is expected to receive one of the former social security ministers, according to the president of the board, Senator Carlos Viana (Somos-MG).
According to Viana, the name is not yet defined, since as the former ministers are being “invited”, it is necessary to check the best day in their agendas. Viana states, however, that the intention is for the latest former ministers to be heard before, which increases the chances of Carlos Lupi (PDT-RJ), who headed the pension folder when the scheme was discovered, is received to testify.
Already the testimony of Antonio Carlos Camilo Antunes, known as the “Bald of the INSS”, is discarded at the moment, although the commission already has an approved request to hear it.

“It will only be called when we have a basis to deepen a testimony. Before him, we want to hear former ministers, public servants of the Comptroller General of the Union, Dataprev and Ministry of Social Security,” he said.
