INSS CPMI listens to a lawyer who helped reveal illegal discounts

This Monday (1st), the CPMI (Mixed Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry) listens to lawyer Eli Cohen, who conducted private investigation and helped reveal the illegal discount scheme to retirement and insured pensions of the INSS (National Institute of Social Security).

“Lawyer Eli Cohen played a fundamental role in unraveling the criminal scheme involving fraud in discounts against retirees and INSS pensioners,” said rapporteur Alfredo Gaspar (Union-AL) in CPMI request.

The invitation to lawyer Eli Cohen complies with requests from Deputy Alfredo Gaspar (Union-AL) and Senators Fabiano Contarato (PT-ES) and Rogerio Marinho (PL-RN).

According to the requirements, Cohen acted in processes linked to the calculation of fraud involving associative entities that made improper discounts on retirement and pensions of INSS beneficiaries.
