Moody’s Ratings predicts that Brazil’s gross domestic product will grow 2.0% in both 2025 and 2026, according to global economic perspective report. The projections were unchanged from the previous edition of the publication, released in May. For the global economy, the agency reviewed upwards for growth this year (from 1.9% in May to 2.4% now) and the next (from 2.3% to 2.4%). The institution, however, points out that the improvement reflects more the overall volatility of the data than economic resilience in the face of tariffs. “Although commercial uncertainty has diminished since April, it will remain high until the new global tariff regime is consolidated, impacting business decisions,” Moody’s.
