The Dry Fruit Fair returns to the Alcantarilha between September 5 and 7, promising three days of music, animation and traditions in Largo da Junta de Parish.
According to the municipality of Silves, “highlighting will be the appetizing dried fruits, one of the brand images of the Algarve”, but the event will have much more to offer. The program includes street animation, live music, ethnographic exhibition dedicated to the customs and traditions of Alcantarilha, as well as spaces of handicrafts, sweets, bulls and activities designed for the little ones.
The municipality stresses that “this is a moment of celebration of local identity, but also of living and promoting the flavors and traditions of the municipality of Silves.”
The Fair is co -organized by the Municipality of Silves and the Union of Parishes of Alcantarilha and Pêra, with the support of the Fair Commission, which integrates several local institutions, including the House of Alcantarilha, Pêra and Frame de Pêra, the Alcantarhense Recreational Society, the Gare Gare Adventure and Sports Group, the Alcantarilha Parish and the Santa Casa da Misericódia and ALDEPA – Association of Defense of Cultural and Natural Heritage of Alcantarilha.
The event opens daily at 6:00 pm, with the first concerts scheduled for Friday, September 5: at 20:00 Acts Jonathan, followed by Ana Marques, at 21:30, and Emanuel and Tânia, at 22:30.
In the following days, the animation continues with a diverse poster. On Saturday, September 6, the party starts at 7:30 pm with DJ Carox, continues at 22:00 with the Iris band concert and ends, near midnight, at 23:45, with Valter & Canário. On Sunday, September 7, the program opens at 19:30 with the MusicalDepa group, followed Miguel Azevedo, at 22:00, and continuing AA from 23:30 with Rúben Filipe.
