The senator (-MG), name of President Lula (PT) to dispute the government of Minas Gerais, criticized indirectly on Monday (1st) the approach of a PSD wing with the (new), amid a movement to try to affiliate it to the party.
He has been reluctant to assume the candidacy and criticized, in a statement, the “unbridled attempt to anticipate the electoral calendar, as if the elections were more important than the problems of our society.”
The former president of says he will continue to work focused on the most urgent issues and has no intention of changing party.
He also points out that the growth of the party, which has three ministries in the Lula administration (mines and energy, agriculture and fishing), conquered the city hall and another 142, was not the work of chance or third parties.
“Therefore, I say that the PSD does not condone with undemocratic ideal, scammers and radicals defended by far -right representatives,” he says. “Position that, in my view, must be maintained and strengthened so that together, within the true premise of social democracy, the pact of trust with our voters is not broken.”
The senator’s statements are in the midst of PSD conversations of Minas Gerais to join Simões, which could thus compete for the government for a more robust party. This would represent, however, a shutter of the caption on the right.
Fierce anti -lulist, he has the support of the current governor, (Novo), to compete for the election.
