Three people arrested, two seized vehicles and 39 offenses is the result of the road inspection operation carried out this Sunday at Ponte 25 de Abril, which connects the municipalities of Almada and Lisbon, the PSP has advanced to Lusa.
At a time of vacation for many citizens, the PSP carried out an inspection operation on the 25 de Abril Bridge 17:00 e and 21:00 this Sunday, during which One person was arrested for driving intoxicated and two for lack of driving.
Two vehicles were also seized and issued 39 offensesof which 12 were for lack of compulsory periodic inspection.
Still in relation to offenses, Six were due to lack of documents, six due to lack of child safety retention system, four due to changes in vehicle characteristics and the rest for lack of insurance, mobile phone use during driving, lack of seat belt, expired driving license, excessive passenger and excess alcohol.
Speaking to Lusa at the early evening, the spokesman for the Public Security Police (PSP), the Subintendent Sérgio Soaressaid that the reinforcement of inspection on the 25 de Abril Bridge “Increase road safety”especially taking into account the “High flow of vehicles caused by the return of national tourists”.
