When it comes to rare lands, critical minerals for the development of disruptive technologies, Finance Minister Fernando Haddad believes that “there will be no lack of partner for Brazil.”

“Everyone needs rare lands, and Brazil has, we are well positioned. But we don’t want to export it as commodityWe want to add value, ”he emphasized in an interview with Band’s free channel this Sunday (31).
For the country to develop this industry, the head of the economic team stressed that a legal framework is missing to define the work of the sector, which he stressed being studied by the Ministry of Mines and Energy.
Asked about the interest of the United States in Brazilian minerals and Brazil’s will to negotiate with Americans, Haddad stressed that Brazil will “seek partnerships” and “will use this ore who wants to transfer technology”.
According to the minister, the country’s interest is to work this industry here and, with this, reindustrialize the Brazilian park.
“For them [EUA]a more surrender government would be better. With us, it is another type of negotiation that will do, ”he said.
The minister indicated that the United States has less technology to refine these materials than China, and, regarding the issue, signaled that Brazil has a very “great” proximity to Asia and reinforced the progress of the free trade agreement with the European Union.
