A helicopter belonging to the government of the Gilgit-Baltistan region collapsed in the north of Pakistan. All five people on board according to the police died there, Informs TASR based on AFP report. The helicopter crashed in the district of DIAMIR around 10.00 am local time (7.00 h).

A police officer from this district for AFP stated that The helicopter performed a test landing on the proposed new landing area in the mountain hiking area, when it collapsed. “There were two pilots and three technicians among the killed,” he added.
AFP recalls that there have been several fatal helicopter accidents in Pakistan in recent years. In 2022, five soldiers died and one of the top commanders of the army after their helicopter collapsed during flood operations in the southwestern province of Balúčistan.
