The incident occurred after Majchrzak’s victory over Karen Kachanov, when Brock, thrilled, asked him for his hat. A nearby man withdrew the cap from the boy’s hands, leaving him in tears. Majchrzak continued without realizing what had happened, but seeing the images on social networks decided to act.
The Polish asked followers for help to locate the young man: “After the game, I didn’t realize that my cap had not arrived at the boy. Can you help me find the kid of my game? If you are (or if your parents saw this), please send me a private message.” The answer arrived quickly and Majchrzak met Brock, offering him several gifts, including a hat just like what the boy had lost. The reunion thrilled the tennis player, who commented: “I’m impressed with the power of the internet. We got it! It’s okay now.”
Even facing difficulties in the competition, this gesture of care and attention became Majchrzak’s most striking moment in the tournament, showing that small actions can make a big difference.
