The Ukrainian police believe that Russia is behind the murder of the former President of Parliament Andriy Pabera. On Monday it was announced by the head of the Ukrainian police Ivan Zmivsky. They shot Pabera on Saturday afternoon in Lviv and the suspicious shooter arrested on Sunday evening. TASR reports this based on Reuters report.
“We know this crime was not accidental. It is Russia involved in it. Everyone will match before the law,” he wrote on Facebook. Moscow has not yet responded to Ukrainian accusations.
According to Ovivský, the suspicious shooter acted as a courier of the delivery service and fired on Pabera on a white day eight times. Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko wrote on the telegram that the crime was carefully planned, the perpetrator examined the victim’s movement, had a route selected and a thoughtful escape plan. “He was preparing, watching, planning and finally pressing the trigger. It took us 36 hours to find and arrested,” added the head of the Ukrainian police.
Parubij was chairman of the Ukrainian Parliament between 2016 and 2019, he was one of the prominent supporters of the Pro -European Orange Revolution in 2004 and also the Revolution in Majdan in 2014.
