It started Monday (1) with news that worries the fan. The club’s press office announced at dawn that midfielder Jair suffered a sprain on his right knee during a 3-2 win over Sport on Retiro Island by. The player will be reevaluated in the coming days by the Health and Performance Department, which will give a more accurate forecast for recovery time and possible embezzlement.
Jair was a starter against Sport, but left the field at halftime, giving way to Matheus Cocão. The steering wheel had already felt discomfort in the bid that resulted in the injury and was unable to continue in the match. The initial diagnosis brought apprehension, as the athlete is an important piece in the vascaín midfield.
Despite the individual problem, the night in Recife was positive for Vasco. The team won 3-2 in a direct duel against an opponent who also fights to escape the latest places in the table. With the three points won, the Cruz-Maltino team momentarily left the relegation zone, relieving part of the pressure that was around Januario.

The result gives the cast breath, but the concern with Jair puts on alert coach Fernando Diniz and the medical department, who now await the reevaluation to know the severity of the injury.
The steering wheel has been used frequently this season and its absence can make room for midfield adjustments. Vasco returns to the field on the 14th to face Ceará, in São Januário, for the 23rd round of the Brazilian Championship.
