The INSS CPI unanimously approved 26 votes on Monday, a request addressed to the Supreme Court (STF), in which it requests Minister André Mendonça, rapporteur of the investigation of frauds in the body, pre-trial detention and the breach of confidentiality of some of the suspects mentioned in Federal Police investigations. Among the names are former director of benefits and relationships with the Citizen of the INSS, André Fidelis, and Antonio Carlos Camilo, known as the “Bald of the INSS”. According to the president of the board, Senator Carlos Viana (Somos-MG), the measure is justified “given the possibility of escape from these people from Brazil”. (See the full list below).
After the vote, Senator Leila Barros (PDT-DF) and Deputy Colonel Fernanda (PL-MT) fell out and needed to be separated by the other parliamentarians.
Antonio Carlos Camilo, the “Bald of the INSS”, is appointed as a central operator of the scheme, responsible for intermediating the relations between fraudulent associations and public servants. Federal Police reports indicate that he moved R $ 53 million from trade unions and related companies, much higher than the official monthly income of R $ 24,000 that declared. Part of these resources would have been used to buy gifts from INSS leaders, including a Porsche vehicle valued at $ 500,000, transferred to the wife of an agency attorney.

According to investigations, people and companies linked to André Fidelis received R $ 5.1 million “from intermediate companies related to associative entities”. Eric Fidelis, son of André Fidelis, who would have received values through his law firm, also appears in the application for preventive arrests. The list of former INSS attorney Virgílio Antônio Filho, businessman Mauricio Camisotti, Antonio Luz, Fernando de Araújo, Márcio Alaor, Ramon Novaes and 11 others include 11 people.
Also on Monday, the INSS CPI will vote on a request to ensure full security to lawyer Eli Cohen, responsible for the first complaints about fraud in the body. In testimony, Cohen said he has been receiving death threats.
