O IPC (Consumer Price Index), which measures inflation in the city of São Paulorose 0.04% in August, slowing over the increase of 0.28% in July and also in the face of 0.10% of last month’s third hips, according to data published by FIPE (Institute of Economic Research Foundation) on Tuesday (2).
The August result was within the estimates of market institutions consulted by the Broadcast projections, from 0.05%to 0.16%increase, but below the median of 0.11%.
Between January and August, the IPC-fipe accumulated 2.35%inflation. In 12 months until August, the increase of the index was 4.92%, also lower than the median projections, 4.99%.
In the eighth month of this year, two of the seven components of the IPC -fipe lost strength and another two migrated to deflation: housing (from 0.58% in July to 0.18% in August), transport (from 0.82% to -0.97%), clothing (from 0.04% to -0.06%) and education (from 0.36% to 0.01%).
On the other hand, one category retreated at a slower pace and two others showed acceleration: from -0.48% in July to -0.11% in August), personal expenses (from 0.33% to 0.68%) and health (from 0.70% to 1.06%).
