Itamaraty receives work donated by Campena studio

“Cerrado”, steel and aluminum, will be in the Brasilia room, where there are events for guests

Donated him to the Biombo “Cerrado”in stainless steel and anodized aluminum. The work arrived on Thursday (28.Set.2025) to the headquarters of the Itamaraty Palace in Brasilia.

The design studio was founded by brothers Humberto and Fernando Campana (1961-2022). Humberto Campana, currently at the head of the initiative, was responsible for the execution of “Cerrado”.

The Biombo will be at the entrance of the Brasilia room, on the 2nd floor of Itamaraty, where there are lunches, dinners and other events for guests. There are tapestry on site “Vegetation of the Central Plateau”by Roberto Burle Marx (1909-1994).

The director of (Guimarães Rosa Institute), Marco Antonio Nakata, said that Humberto Campana created the work especially for the entrance of the Brasilia room.

The designer was inspired by the Cerrado vegetation and projected it as a counterpoint to Burle Marx’s great tapestry”, He said. The donation is part of a work to expand the Itamaraty art collection.

A (Association and Union of Brazilian Diplomats) paid the transportation of the São Paulo Biombo, where the Campana studio is located, to Brasilia.
