A 27 -year -old man, identified by the initials ACJ, surrendered to the Cruzeiro do Sul Civil Police on Sunday (31), and confessed to raping a 16 -year -old. The crime happened on the same day, on the banks of the Campinas River, on BR-364. Acj, who was already responsible for another rape case, sought the police station after being threatened with death by a criminal faction.

The victim, in a statement to the police, reported that she was bathing in Rio with her husband and the accused. Acj left the scene with the young woman’s husband and shortly afterwards he returned alone. He told his wife that her husband had sent her to a nearby community. However, the man began to assault her, hanging her and forcibly taking her to an isolated place. The teenager said she had lost consciousness at times and, in recovering her, realized that she had been sexually abused. She also said she had received death threats during the aggression.
The young woman was taken to the hospital and had abrasions on her neck and back, as well as bleeding and semen, which reinforces the nature of the crime.
The Military Police were fired and headed for the suspect’s house, who fled to the woods when he noticed the arrival of the car.
Acj, who had broken the electronic anklet he wore, only surrendered to the police station hours later, around the night, claiming that he was being chased by a criminal organization that had sworn him with death. He was arrested and made available to the court.
