The North Korean leader, together with other world leaders, is to participate in the celebrations of the 80th anniversary of World War II. It will be his first participation in multilateral diplomatic events.

The train, which apparently carried the North Korean leader Kim Jong-una, arrived in Beijing on Tuesday. During China’s visit, Kim will take part in a military parade along with other world leaders on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II. Jonhap reported that it would be his first participation in a multilateral diplomatic event, writes TASR.

The train arrived near the railway station in Beijing around 4 pm local time (10.00 h), almost a day after leaving Pyongyang. The leader was accompanied by North Korean Foreign Minister of Foreign Affairs of CHCHA Son-Hui and other representatives.

Kim will stand “side by side” of Chinese President Si Jin-Pching and Russian President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday’s military parade, the South Korean secret service NIS said. It is also assumed that both leaders will also meet separately.

Jonhap recalls that this is the fifth Kim’s visit to China from the end of 2011.
