Paramount and Activision announce film live action of “Call of Duty”

The Paramount Skydance has signed an agreement with Microsoft-controlled Activision Blizzard to adapt the “Call of Duty” video game franchise to a live action feature, the media company said on Tuesday.

Paramount and Activision said they will honor the “rich narrative and distinct style” of the brand for fans of the franchise.

“We are addressing this movie with the same disciplined and uncompromising commitment to the excellence that guided our work in Top Gun: Maverick,” said Paramount CEO David Ellison.

Published by Activision, Call of Duty is one of the most popular video games in the world, with 500 million copies sold globally, being one of the bestseller games in the US every year.
