The Government (Republicans) allocated R $ 350 million from R $ 1.77 billion budgeted since the beginning of its government to support 144 and 70 resorts in, or 19.7% of the total.
This Thursday (28), approved the title of municipality of tourist interest for another 70 cities.
The transfer of R $ 350 million was concentrated in the first year of the Tarcisio government, according to data on the executive’s budget execution.
There was no commitment in 2024 and 2025. The amount committed is the amount reserved by the government to perform hiring services and works.
With the title of cities of tourist interest, municipalities get access to resources from the Department of Support for the Development of Tourist Municipalities (Dadetur), linked to the Secretariat of Tourism and Travel (Setur) to play infrastructure works.

The Tourism Folder says that the transfers are made according to the evolution of the agreed works and the presentation of technical documentation by the responsible municipalities.
Management also states that it invests in valuing programs of these municipalities. “Since the beginning of the current management, more than R $ 713 million have been passed on to tourist infrastructure works, higher than the total transferred during the four years of the previous management,” says the government.
Resorts are recognized by natural and cultural and historical characteristics. Among them there is Aparecida, Brotas, Holambra, Olympia, Nuporanga and Tupã.
The concept for municipalities of tourist interest is broader, and the main attribute is to demonstrate potential for tourism development. The list brings together Adamantina, Adolfo, Itupeva, Jales, Sao Jose do Rio Preto, Novo Horizonte and Ubarana, among others.
