A 43 -year -old Chinese activist made a protest at the same time ingenious and dangerous against the China Communist Party and his extreme surveillance policy over the population. On the night of August 29, they were designed on the walls of a building at the University of Chongqing, located in the southwest of the country, huge phrases of effect against the CCP.

Raise, people who refuse to be enslaved, get up and resist to claim their rights. Below red fascism, overthrow communist tyranny! Communist Party Tyranic must resign!. ”
The projection was active for at least 50 minutes before five police finally found the hotel room where the projection equipment was located and turned off the device. Using a camera to capture the image of the arrival of security agents was a kind of ironic protest for the government to be seen in the position of vigilant.

The man behind the protest is Qi Hong, who said he was inspired by other activists, such as Peng Lifa (which in 2022 extended similar tracks on the Sitong Bridge in Beijing), the white book movement (in the same year, against the government’s covid zero policy) and Mei Shilin (which hung for political flags on a Chengdu viaduct).
Qi Hong, however, decided to make a creative use of technology and configured the projector to be triggered remotely and left a surveillance camera connected to capture police images.
Although Qi and part of his immediate family have been able to reach London before he activated his projection, some relatives were not so lucky. His elderly mother, who lives in the countryside, was interrogated and her brother taken by the police.

Qi shared photos and videos of his protest with the well -known Dissents online “Professor Li”, whose initial post on the subject reached over 18 million people.
