Update
The defense of Jair Bolsonaro said on Wednesday that there is no “one proof” to connect the former Brazilian president to any attempted coup and stated that the defendant whistleblower “lied.”
“He did not pay against the Democratic Rule of Law,” said Celso Vilardi, on the second day of the trial in which Jair Bolsonaro defends himself against accusations of coup.
“There is no single evidence, a single evidence,” said the lawyer in the first class of the Supreme Federal Court in Brasilia, at the session where the five judges will hear the last four defendants’ defendants on Wednesday.
