The general’s defense told the Federal Supreme Court on Wednesday (3) that the award-winning collaboration of Lieutenant Colonel Mauro Cid is addicted and should be annulled.

Known as Juca, the lawyer is the last to support orally by the defense of the defendants of the central core of the coup plot. The defenses began to present their arguments on the morning of Monday (2), after reading the report by Alexandre de Moraes and the accusation made by the Attorney General, Paulo Gonet.
Braga Netto has been arrested since December 14, 2024, in charge of the 1st Army Division in Rio de Janeiro, on the grounds that to interfere with the investigations. Thus, the general was the only defendant held throughout the process instruction.
The defense made six requests for revocation of the preventive, all denied by Moraes. In the latter, lawyers wanted treatment similar to Bolsonaro, placed in house arrest in the last month.

The PGR argues that Cid’s narrative is corroborated by a robust probative set, such as messages recovered from conversations and seized documents.
The general will be tried for coordinating or participating in the most violent actions investigated in the coup plot, such as the murder plan and virtual attacks to press armed forces commanders.

Braga Netto with monitoring, neutralization or other unlawful act in relation to any authority. With Gen.
