The approved program includes assistance in health, education, energy and democratic transformation.
The Czech government approved the continuation of the national aid program to Ukraine until 2030. It will reserve one billion crowns (almost 41 million euros) per year. This was announced on Wednesday by Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavský, informs TASR newsletter in Prague.
“The support of Ukraine is crucial for the Czech Republic. It helps Ukraine itself, but it also strengthens our own security. It is important that the Czech Republic helps Ukraine not only militarily but also humanitarian and renewal … We want Czech companies to participate in the renewal and work there for a long time,” Lipavský said.
It is primarily about ensuring healthcare, emergency shelter, access to education, energy and heat, removal of agricultural land or helping with cyber safety. It also wants to help the Czech Republic with the democratic transformation of Ukraine and its convergence with EU standards. The Czech Republic, among other things, funds anti -corruption measures and supports civil society and free media.
