Lawyer Matheus Milanez still questioned ‘how it is possible to analyze’ the 80 terabytes of information in the case file, arguing the need for access to the test and not to PF report information
Lawyer Matheus Mayer Milanez, who represents the defense of the former Minister of the Institutional Security Office (GSI) began his support on Wednesday (3) at the session of the trial of the criminal action of the attempted coup, questioning the size and organization of the investigation archives-70 to 80 Terabytes-and making direct criticism of the conduct of rapporteur of the case. Milanez questioned the number of questions asked by Moraes during the interrogations of the action – 302, while the He asked 59 questions. The lawyer challenged the “active posture of the rapporteur to investigate witnesses” and said “judge cannot become the protagonist of the process.” “What is the role of the judge? The lawyer also questioned “how it is possible to analyze” the 80 terabytes of information contained in the case of the criminal action of the coup, arguing the need for access to the evidence and not to information from the Judicial Police – reports of the Federal Police. Milanez argued for the need for the material to be cataloged, with an index or summary that would allow the analysis. According to him, the request was denied under the pretext that it would be delaying.
The defense calls for the acquittal of its client and alleged two nullities: for the manipulation and impossibility of analysis of the evidence; and violation of the accusatory system and the right to silence. The Attorney General’s Office (PGR) points out that Heleno acted to provide former President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) with false information about electoral fraud. Documents that presented alleged inconsistencies in the polls, without evidence, and proposals for non -compliance with court decisions were found in their power.
