Sector has a growth of 1.1% in accumulated from January to July; In 12 months, the accumulated high was 1.9%
Brazil’s industrial production fell 0.2% in July compared to June, in the season with seasonal adjustment. The sector registered a 0.2% increase compared to July 2024, in the series without seasonal adjustment.
The (Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics) released the result this Wednesday (3.SET.2025). This is the statement (PDF – 2 MB).
Industrial production rose 1.1% from January to July. In 12 months, the accumulated high was 1.9%.
Industry in July
The IBGE announced that 13 of the 25 searched industrial branches fell in July before June, in the season with seasonal adjustment.
The most important negative influence was metallurgy (-2.3%), which interrupted 2 consecutive months of discharge.
Other negative contributions were:
- Other transportation equipment (-5.3%);
- Printing and breeding of recordings (-11.3%);
- drinks (-2.2%);
- Maintenance, repair and installation of machinery and equipment (-3.7%);
- Computer equipment, electronic and optical products (-2.0%);
- Miscellaneous Products (-3.5%); and
- Rubber and plastic material products (-1.0%).
On the high side, stood out:
- Farmochemical and Pharmaceutical Products (7.9%);
- food products (1.1%);
- extractive industries (0.8%);
- Chemicals (1.8%).
In considering the large economic categories, durable consumer goods dropped 0.5% in July. Capital goods retreated 0.2%. The producing sectors of intermediate goods were up 0.5%. Semi and non -durable consumer goods rose 0.1%.
