A joint action by the Federal Police of Epitaciolândia and the Brasilia Civil Police resulted in the seizure of 23.8 kilos of marijuana. The drug was found buried on the banks of extension 59, in the rural area of Epitaciolândia, during an operation carried out after anonymous complaints.

According to the investigation, the narcotics would have come from Bolivia and Peru and were hidden for later rescue. The material would be taken to Rio Branco and from there, distributed to supply other states.
The teams confirmed the veracity of the information received and located the buried drug. According to the Federal Police, the region is often used by criminal organizations such as a drug flow and distribution route in Acre and in other parts of the country.
The site has favorable conditions for trafficking because it is difficult to access and supervision, as well as connecting Brazilia to the capital of Acrea, which facilitates the logistics of criminals.
