The health plans sector made R $ 12.9 billion in the first half of 2025 – at 131% over the R $ 5.6 billion in the same period of 2024. The value is the highest for the period in the historical series, which began in 2018.
The result is 6.8% of the total revenue of the period, which was $ 190 billion.
Medical-hospital operators are the main segment of the sector and together have reached net income of R $ 12.4 billion in the aggregate, strongly driven by the increase in operational outcome and the contribution of the financial result.
Companies of all sizes have increased net results in the 1st semester. Here’s below:

- average: R $ 2 billion; and
- small: R $ 700 million.
