The bear attack on a 27-year-old man registered on Wednesday (September 3) by police over Nedožermi-Brezani in the district of Prievidza. The man suffered injuries at the incident, rescuers transported him to the hospital. The Trenčín Regional Police informed on Thursday on the social network and called on the public for caution.
“The event was immediately notified by the intervention team for the brown bear, which takes the necessary measures in the given location,“Added the Trenčín regional police spokeswoman Petra Klenková.
According to her, the brown bear is to move above Nedožermi-Brezani around the hunting cottage Klčovňa. “Police call on citizens to behave cautiously when moving in this area, to move ideally in groups, respect the intervention team’s instructions, and called the line 158 or 112 in the event of a direct threat. Citizens’ security is a priority for us, so we carefully monitor the situation in cooperation with experts and the competent authorities, ”she added.
