Fortaleza announced the signing of Martín Palermo as a new coach.
The agreement with former Argentine centered back to the end of 2025, with the option of renewal until the end of next season.
“We sought a coach who had an impact on the locker room, a respected professional, who has been growing in his career. Palermo understood the moment of Fortaleza, the challenge we have the need for a team that duel each ball, which defends itself well, that can win games and add points, taking us out of the current situation,” said Marcelo Paz, CEO of the club.
In addition to the coach, they arrive at Lion with assistants Diego Cagna and Cristian Damian Leyes, physical trainers Gaston Mendonza and Esteban Herrera, and analyst Renato Cornejo.
