The Pingo Doce da Penha store in Faro reopened this Thursday after a remodeling process that resulted in a more modern, functional and sustainable space. The unit, with a commercial area of 2,412 m2 and 89 employees, is part of the brand’s remodeling plan, which bets on a concept centered on “ready food, fresh and service”.
According to the dietary retail insignia, customers find the restaurant Fresh Fresh, with a capacity of 102 sites sitting, as well as a free watery bakery and bakery with hot bread bumps throughout the day. The offer is reinforced with butcher and fishmonger in personalized service and digital screens with detailed information about the products. The store also makes available 11 quick boxes, seven of which for carts.
“The Fresh Fuel Restaurant offers a wide variety of dishes, made in a traditional way and with the cooler ingredients, to eat on site, order or take home with all convenience,” says Pingo Doce. The brand also ensures that “there are menus for all tastes, from dishes such as duck rice, pataniscas or roasted chicken, to vegetarian options, which can be consulted daily on the site.”
The store was also adapted to environmental concerns, betting on energy efficiency measures such as LED lighting, motion sensors, heat recovery systems and natural gases, as well as low consumption taps. Customers can also use reusable bags, trolleys and bring their own packaging to the Characutarian or the Take Away service.
Within its social responsibility policy, Penha’s unit will maintain support to the local community. In 2024, the store donated food goods to Faro’s Refood and, through, supported the Faro Hospital Center with new comfort equipment for 68 children.
The store is located at Rua Monsenhor Henrique Ferreira da Silva, in Faro, and is open daily between 08:00 and 22:00.
