The company’s “marketing” director Dara Brady stressed in the note that the company changed the size of the luggage meters in “All airports ” of your European network to adapt to the new dimensions.
“In addition, passengers can also request the ‘check-in’ luggage during the reserve process. Ministry of Spanish consumption sanctioned five airlines
The Spanish Ministry of Consumption sanctioned, on November 22five airlines (Ryanair, Vueling, Easyjet, Norwegian and Volotea) for abusive practices, such as charging hand luggage supplements, not allowing for payment of these additional cash costs or booking adjoining seats to accompany dependent people.
The 109 million euros fine imposed on Ryanair was cautiously suspended on June 26 by the Madrid Superior Court, while waiting for a definitive verdict.
In this regard, Irish airline executive president Michael O’leary, said last week in Brussels that he trusts that Spanish or European justice will definitely revert this sanction.
The executive recalled that the EU Court has already commented in 2014 on the cabin luggage issue and has ruled that airlines can freely set the price of luggage, but passengers have the right to take a sufficiently large suitcase to contain their personal belongings.
