The availability of one -day healthcare in Slovakia has worsened over the past year, Especially for policyholders of the State General Health Insurance Company (VšZP)which dissolved several providers of one -day healthcare. “The availability of one -day health care in Slovakia has deteriorated, from our point of view significantly, and it is only because of the health insurance companies, especially VšZP. We are in negotiations with VšZP and we believe that in September we will agree on revising decisions, ” Eva Vidová, chairwoman of Sajch, said.
Pointed out that Since last year, VšZP has been dissolved by 18 one -day healthcare providers. According to the Association, this has the greatest impact on the number of performances in this area. According to her, the waiting periods were also extended due to the financial limits that VšZP introduced.
Vidová declared that one -day healthcare providers have enough capacity for all patients. “The only reason for the deterioration of the availability and declines of one -day health care performance is to dissolve a large part of the VšZP providers and the introduction of financial limits,” She noted.
Sajch therefore calls on the state health insurance company to review its decisions. “We therefore appeal to the management of the VšZP to return to the negotiating table with the dissolved providers of one -day healthcare and at the same time to abolish or sufficiently increase the limits of providers for whom it registers long waiting periods for operations and also considerable volume of over -the -limit performance,” she stated.
