An accident involving two buses left at least four dead and 16 people injured at km 779 of BR 040, in Juiz de Fora, Minas Gerais, on Friday afternoon (5).
The highway connects the capital of Minas Gerais to Rio de Janeiro. The accident occurred towards Belo Horizonte. Among the 16 victims, four are in serious condition.
One of the buses is from the urban public transport of Juiz de Fora and toppled on the track, the other is interstate. It is not yet known how the accident occurred.
The teams of the PRF (Federal Highway Police), the Fire Department and Concer, the concessionaire responsible for the highway, were fired. About three ambulances from Samu (Mobile Emergency Care Service) are on site.
